I recently had to sell my 50s standard LP premium plus from 05 for vet bills for my dog that I had to put down. Talk about a double heartache. Man I miss my Gibson and my dog. I adopted another dog but there is still a hole in my heart and a piece missing over that older LP. Best guitar i ever had in 30 years of playing. I hope I can get back on my feet one day and find another one like it.

Thank you Joe and Gibson for keeping the prices accessible on these. Would like to see more new Epiphones available in the $500 to $1000 range. The iridescent Copper Les Paul is a real looker. You should consider keeping it as a standard colorway as The company wisely did in 1955. Would be great to see it on more models in the Gibson and Epiphone lines.

The heaviest Les Paul I've ever played was an earky 70s Electra my oldest brother brought home from his tour of duty was done. I swear it felt like 15 pounds easy.

Cant find the specs on this Amos yet....very curious about the pickups. Are they made in house and if so...are we gonna get a set to purchase like the greenies? Gotta say i absolutely love my custom buckers in my 58 reissue...stack up extremely well with my 67 sg standard and leagues above any other pickup in my other gibsons...i would love a set of these i think

I can't afford a Custom Shop Amos but I did buy a 1957 Skylark Lap Steel and a Silver Sparkle Custom Shop Custom Les Paul this year. Along with a Magnatone Super 59 full stack. I could complain but I can't.

I’m definitely grabbing a Copper Iridescent…but do you think this new Gibson Amos will drive up the prices of the Epiphone Amos? I’m still wanting to get a used Epiphone Amos, just waiting on the market to soften some more. I’ll be honest, I havnt heard the price yet of the new Gibson Amos, but once I heard Murphy Lab, I knew I was priced out of the market. No shade at all, I’ve played a few Murphy Lab Les Paul’s and they are absolutely killer…I just couldn’t afford one. I do have an R8 from 2014 that’s favorite aged…and I love it, that’s before the aging thing really took off. Sure you can tell they do better aging these days, especially when you look at the headstock. But it’s apart of the aging history at Gibson. It’s my favorite Les Paul I’ve ever owned and I’ve got a pile of them. Great guitars Gibson and Epiphone! I also have the Black Beauty triple pickup 58 Custom yall did with Joe back in 2020. I guess it’s been a few years, time to snag up another JB model! ❤❤❤

The thing is, unless you buy something really expensive and limited, the resale value even on USA made Gibson is only about half of what you paid.
    With Epiphone it's even less.
You're talking about an epiphone and thousands of them were made.
That's very nice of him though to donate guitars like he does

No. I'm assuming they are expensive.
In the US, if you go to Guitar Center, and buy any guitar, after 45 days they only offer you a little less than half of what you paid, if you try to sell it.
Selling it online is not easy because the guitar market is so oversaturated.
Whether you played it or not the guitar stores in the US consider it a used guitar.
Thank you for the comment brother.

Hi guys, great video. Now, can y'all make some of these without Joe's name on it? No offense intended, but names are expensive and we're all about to go broke out here, thanks. And Joe's one of the best and damn good live!

    • @Joe-mz6dc

Pretty sure the reason they put his name on it and do other artists guitars is because that makes it sell more. So why should they? It's business. If you want a cheaper guitar they are out there.

The '55 Coppertop is a nice looking guitar. I love P-90's. I am not buying one, but if I needed P-90 based guitar for some reason the price would be perfect for a utility instrument. Amos is Amos. It is a Murphy Labs replica with all the details. Cool guitar. Yeah, it is going to be expensive. So what? If it is what you like, buy it. If you hate it, just move on.
